Module 3: Dialogue

Women from St Peters, Divis - Belfast come to Derry on the 25th and 26th June to participate in our Eleventh Study Visit.

During the time they were with us, they toured both the Siege Museum and Museum of Free Derry.  Specific time was allocated for a Q&A with Billy Moore - Siege Museum Manager and also Bloody Sunday Families.

They also went to the Galliagh Womens Group Office and met with representatives who showcased local project in the area.

During the evening of their first day, a networking event took place between the Galliagh Womens Group and Foyle Womens Information Network (FWIN).

On their second day they attended the Playhouse in Derry to hear factual histories from the Theater of Witness.

Here is what they had to say about their visit:

As explained, Derry is totally different than, say Belfast.

I have never met stronger women in my life.  I was grateful to hear stories from both communities which was interesting and gave me a more comprehensive view of everything.

I think this whole programme has been very valuable.  The Theater of Witness was very moving and emotional.
